Ephesians 6, verses 10-18 give special insight on spiritual warfare. It’s interesting to me that increasing numbers of believers are more aware of Satan and yet in general we do so very little, if anything, to practice battle against our spiritual foes. I’m Doug Van Dyke with the Northwest Michigan Jesus Ministry, Good News Media and WLJN/WLJW. I am finding more and more the need to be reminded about what author John Eldredge calls the three stages of Satan’s strategy against us.  First of all Satan wants us to believe he is not really here, that this is just you, don’t worry about it; #2 He moves from subtle seduction to open assault and intimidation; and then  #3 He tries to cut a deal with us by suggesting how easier our life would be if we just backed off.

The bottom line is that we need to band together and be prepared to resist Satan at each point with warrior hearts.
